MarketMakers ceased all activities at the end of May 2023!
MarketMakers is working with several partners to improve the information available to both foreign investors interested in locating services operations in BiH and to the customers of service industry exporters. The heart of this work centers on establishing sustainable mechanisms for collecting and calculating factual information, as well as presenting and promoting end-data through appropriate channels. Additionally, together with partners, we are working on bettering market conditions for the outsourcing industry in BiH and building sustainable channels for promotion and destination marketing. Some of MarketMakers partners within this intervention are: Association of Business Service Leaders (ABSL), Manpower Group Serbia and Restart (BAFA). MarketMakers also supported establishment of Restart d.o.o.. If your agency wishes to collect and share credible data that presents a business case for service industry investment, please get in touch. MarketMakers is partnering with both membership associations and alliances of local service industry companies to support the brokering of new contractor-subcontractor relationships with lead service industry companies outside of BiH. Thus far, MarketMakers has teamed up with Architect Association of B&H in creating and promoting their Archlink platform for reaching out to foreign investors to utilize BiH architects. If you are working in a branch of the services industry and would like to come together with other companies in your sector to profile both your industry and company credentials targeting peer companies outside of BiH, get in touch with us! |
MarketMakers is partnering with several companies in different branches of the services industry to offer highly-applied short training courses (e.g. 3 months) that help young people gain skills in high demand on the export market. The courses are offered through new academies within partner companies whereby students are taught by company employees ensuring curricula relevance. If your company works in a knowledge-intensive sector within the services industry and wishes to open a new training academy for young people, you might be eligible for MarketMakers investment. As of now, MarketMakers has supported Walter, InMotion, EESTEC LC Sarajevo, Dizart and Purple Key in running their academies. MarketMakers supported CREDI in establishing "InLearn Centre for Excellence", to help other companies in establishing their company academies or other forms of educational offerings. If your company wishes to establish an academy, please get in touch with us and send your business model demonstrating the academy's financial sustainability. Since early 2018, MarketMakers has been working with law firm CMS-RRH, and research institute CREDI, to create a strong evidence basis for policymakers to discuss service industry friendly amendments to both employment and higher education laws. A wealth of options and ex-ante impact analyses for specific reform scenarios have been generated and are now being shared with stakeholders. Through the support of MarketMakers CREDI opened their InQuire: Evidence to Policy Hub. InQuire simultaneously promotes original research by early-career researchers from both academia and the civil service (public institutions), as well as contribute to an improved knowledge basis for policymakers and their advisors. If you would like to receive MarketMakers’ materials and wish to join in with our stakeholder consultation exercises, please get in touch. MarketMakers is highly-welcoming of all newcomers wishing to participate in public dialogue processes. |
