TOURISM INITIATIVES YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO CURRENTLY:
MarketMakers is supporting Destination Management Organisations (DMOs) including clusters, companies, associations, and public tourist boards to develop new tourism identities for under-developed locations by focusing on a particular niche of tourism that is in harmony with the natural and cultural DNA of the destination. MarketMakers is also collaborating with public offices to systematically improve the conditions for rural and outdoor tourism. This involves the establishment of expert working groups to advise on public investment and budgetary allocations as well as adjusting regulations relating to the registration of households for tourism activities. In summer/autumn 2019, MarketMakers is scaling-up its work to develop new destinations building on initial investments in the municipalities of Mrkonjić Grad, Nevesinje, and Pale-Prača as well as in West Herzegovina Canton. |
MarketMakers is working closely with two leading health travel intermediaries to augment their business models, service offerings, and related networking, marketing, and sales strategies. In early 2020, MarketMakers will be scaling-up its work in this field so other intermediaries and providers of health tourism services are encouraged to get in touch. |
MarketMakers is collaborating with pre-eminent players in the MICE tourism (meetings, incentives, conferences, events) to increase business-related tourism activity in the city of Sarajevo, targeting the attraction of more regional and international conferences in the low season. In 2020, MarketMakers will take its learning from the pilot to stakeholders in Banja Luka and Mostar. If you are engaged in tourism in one of these cities and wish to be part of MarketMakers’ MICE activities, please get in touch. |
